Just because the homeowners are in Prague and the designer is in Paris doesn’t mean they can’t create a home together in South Florida. When this couple decided to relocate from Europe to Boca Raton, they enlisted Laure Nell Interiors to create a space that felt contemporary and European in a familiar way but of the place and warm and inviting to their 5-year-old daughter. Laure Nell Interiors sourced many of the items from Paris, including the wallpaper in the cabana bathroom, which designer Laetitia Laurent first spotted at the Bon Marche during one of her shopping pilgrimages. Lighting fixtures by Cyan Design and Arteriors act like jewelry for the home, complementing furnishings from Design Within Reach. The beds in the house are by Swedish brand Hästens, and Laurent installed Striped Umbrellas, Nice by Gray Malin—an aerial photograph of Nice, France—as she clearly still had French beaches at top of mind. She also had the art holding court over the living room fireplace commissioned to mimic the mirror in the nearby entry. As the pièce de résistance, Laurent built a custom wine room—the perfect place for the owners to toast na zdraví at the end of their day.
